Try. Maybe. I’m Not Sure.

Those are words that mean exactly what they say. Which is pretty much nothing when you compare them to similar phrases such as DO, YES, and IM POSITIVE.

If you look at successful people, and I’ll pick on people who are successful at fitness and money, they have one thing in common. They DO make the decision to Consistently Practice every aspect of being in complete control of their finances, and their physical bodies.

A wealthy person doesn’t become wealthy by spending their pennies frivolously on useless items they don’t need. They don’t make payments on their credit cards, they pay them off each and every month. Wealthy people work hard and are completely different from the majority of our population. 5 percent of the country has all the money.

Physically fit people eat VERY differently than 95% of the population as well. They also dedicate themselves to training nearly every day of the week. No its not easy. But neither is being fat.

Neither is being poor and in debt. But for some reason the mass of the population truly believes it is completely normal to have a $300 dollar car payment, which by the time the vehicle is paid off, will only be worth a quarter of the original amount paid.

It’s really much easier to do the WORK and take ACTION to be physically fit. Its really much easier to SAVE and pay cash for items we need rather than financing them and paying extra money just to have the “I have It NOW” feeling.

Being fit and wealthy start with the simple step of DOING. AKA…TAKING ACTION…. I.E. Getting motivated and PUMPED up to pay off your smallest debt first, or feeling that sense of accomplishment because you lost 4 POUNDS this week.

Do.
- Do take action.

Yes.
- Yes you ABSOLUTELY CAN!

Im Positive
- Stay completely positive and focused that you will.

Set your goal, big or small. If your goal is large then break it down into the small steps it requires to accomplish. Ask yourself WHAT IS IT RIGHT NOW WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS that will set me 1 INCH closer to my goals? And when you accomplish that goal, CELEBRATE!

Go out there and be a go getter.

FEAR nothing of Failure. FEAR NOT. Because fear is just your precious little ego trying to protect itself from being embarrassed.
At least you gave it a DO! And guaranteed next time you’ll DO a hell of a lot better.

As children we are so encourage to go out there and do this, do that, go over there, touch this…. Then, for whatever idiotically ridiculously stupid reason in our young teens, we become taught to get straight freaking A’s and that perfection is the only thing accepted.

To me that’s all bull.

You don’t have to get it perfect. You just have to get it going.

You don’t have to get it perfect. You just have to get it started.

I love you.

You will do.

You will be great.

You will accomplish your goals, one at a time, step by step.

DO. YES. IM POSITIVE.

Mistakes and failures in life manifest from TO LITTLE focus on what seem to be small details in life.

The little details in a relationship, can lead to a heartbroken, gut-wrenching, and teary end. The small details in the big contract can lead to overspending and over budget in the end. Its about focusing on THE IN-BETWEEN.

What do you do IN-BETWEEN your trip to work, what do you do on your breaks? What are you listening to? What are you watching? Who are you communicating with?

If, when you wake up in the morning, you spend your time listening to the radio, watching the news, or maybe listening to your neighbor bitch about how there “life” is just never easy…

Your are subconsciously filling the “IN-BETWEENS” of your life, with DRAINING information.

How much GOOD News do you hear on the NEWS?

Not much… Its all about the “SHOCK AND AWE” and our society has been NUMBED to the point where most ONLY react to the HORRIBLE GOSSIP and CRAP out there.

OR…

You have the same choice to fill your “IN-BETWEENS” with your favorite uplifting music. An inspirational novel on the train or bus
ride into town. The amount of GREAT stuff out there is NEVER ENDING!

Focus on that and you will NOTICE A GREAT change in your overall Happiness and confidence in life. Maximize the gaps in your day. Focus on staying positive in the small moments and little increments in life.

To do the right thing is just the start, Doing the right thing

IN-BETWEEN will take you to the finish line. Ahead of the

rest of the field.

I read this out of Men’s Fitness today and wanted to share it with you!

Savor The NEXT “YOU”

Some time ago I asked a longtime friend about his diet. “Why?” He responded suspiciously. Yes, I thought he was fat. Fatter than he’d been in years, and far from his days as a college athlete. But of course I couldn’t say that. So I told him about my eating regimen (and the cleanse I mentioned on this page a few issues back) ans how it, along with regular and rigorous exercise, helped me stay fit. After a few moments, when I’m sure he wanted to smack my head off, we talked a bit more and he agreed to make a change. He’s since lost more than 20 pounds and is in his best shape in years. He gets plenty of compliments from in they gym from guys who witnessed the metamorphosis, and from the ladies as well. But he still always says, “they should have seen what I used to look like!”

Forget that guy, I tell him. He’s gone. Forget who you used to be. Get jacked about who you’re going to be.

Too many guys stop working out because they aren’t seeking the progress they want. Some hit a plateau and lose their passion. Some suffer an injury and grow frustrated at not being able to train at the same levels. Others just simply set goals so unrealistic that they stand a better chance of landing a sleepover with Megan Fox than looking like the guy they ripped out of Men’s Fitness and stuck in their wallet.

Many of us do the same outside the gym. Especially if we’ve lost a great job or a hot girlfriend. Sure we go back to work. We start dating again. But too often we lament that we’re not where we used to be, or that she isnt as hot as our ex.

Well, forget that old gig, that old girlfriend. Get excited about where life is taking you, through the incremental gains you make every day-inyou career, in your relationship, and in the gym. You love working out because it’s going to make you look and feel better. You’re smater than you’ve ever been(you are reading this magazine, (blog post) arn’t you?) and your probably eating better than you did years ago. You’re going to be stronger, fitter, and healthier even if you think you don’t look as good as you once did.

Forget that guy. He got lucky, maybe benefited from being at the right end of the gene pool. The guy you’re going to be will be even better, no luck involved.

Tackle today with the zeal you display in your workouts. Imagine if you pushed as hard at work as you did on that last rep or during that mile on the treadmill.

Imagine if you were as meticulous about your career as you are about your regimen, which you chronicle and track like a mad scientist.

Imagine if you were as curious and diligent in your relationship as you are about what you eat.

Yes, the old job was great. The old girlfriend was hot. Sure, you were once the hottest hunk on the beach.

But if you attack today with enthusiasm, passion, can commitment, those old yous-as cool as they were-will quake in the shadow of the you you’ll surely become.

- Roy Johnson, Editor in Chief Men’s Fitness.

Ever ask yourself why you have bad days, weeks or even just a whole bad year?

Really, when you stop and ask yourself why or what is making my day so horrible? You’ll likely find the answer to be the culprit of your dismay.

Our human society has been raised and influenced by the “Shock and Awe” factor the media utilizes to capture interest. Think about it. How many Positive reports and articles are broadcasted or published?
The music played on the radio, depressing country about loosing everything and being broke, death metal screamo music, gangsta rap talking about shootin people up.

Add all this negative, depressing thoughts up over months and years, and you’ll understand why so many are distressed in our world.

What’s the answer?

Begin to surround yourself with positive thoughts and emotions. Begin to restructure your “unconscious surroundings.” Replace the bad with the good and you WILL Immediately begin to cultivate a better life.

Facebook is a fantastic place to start, and if you don’t have an account yet, that’s just fine, it‘s very simple to set one up and start connecting! Begin by requesting friends, 10 to 20 per day, based on their interests! Simply use the search tab and search for people based on a common interest.

The relationship building power of face book will open up and endless supply of opportunities, knowledge and EMPOWERMENT.

You will begin to surround yourself with a positive atmosphere of likeminded people, who have similar morals, goals and beliefs. Together you will share ideas beliefs and goals all heading in the same direction!

Never before has creating TRUE relationships become so incredibly easy, FUN and inspiring!

This is just one tip out of many that should be used to help create a positive atmosphere to surround yourself in!
For more inspirational tips and motivation go ahead and start by connecting with me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/kyle.riegle

Have a Great Day!
Always Believe Strongly In Yourself and Go Beyond Limitations!

Ever Just have those days when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

Times when you just don’t want to get up and sleep an extra two minutes. Times when you feel that you slept to long and your whole day starts off in a “FUNK.”

How do you prevent yourself from falling into this “funk”?

Starting your day off with exercise is ONE, just ONE CRUCIAL step to focusing your mind for the day ahead! No matter how exhausted you are, no matter how tired your body is, you STILL need to push forward.

Think back to college and high school days.

PRACTICE wasn’t an option. EVERY DAY you wake up and have the ability to BREATH, YOU are going to PRACTICE. Practice in the GAME of LIFE!>

You can’t HONESTLY believe you will succeed at life if you don’t show up for PRACTICE.

Most people allow themselves to stay in a “funk” and let the world run over them. They’re too tired and don’t have the personal AMBITION to show up for LIFE PRACTICE. In my experience, when you don’t show up for practice…you don’t get to play.

Here’s a tip to Help you stay out of a “FUNK”….

As children we are encouraged to DREAM, IMAGINE and follow our HEART. SO, every 15 minutes, DREAM, IMAGINE, and actually visualize yourself doing and ACHIEVING exactly what it is you WIL ACHIEVE!

This may sound ludicrous and outrageous, but LITERALLY within an hour you will be WELL on your way to a FOCUSED and POSITIVE mindset!

The AWESOME Thing is, THIS CAN WORK FOR ANYONE, ANYWHERE! Whenever you begin to feel down, wake up on the wrong side of the bed or just are in a “FUNK” imagine yourself where you want to be for 5 minutes, take a break, then visit the imagination again. Do this for an hour and YOU WILL begin to have the FOCUS and DETERMINATION it takes to reach your goals!

Have an AMAZING DAY!

Each day life throws us a challenge.

Big or Small. Hard to swallow, or nearly making you gag.

And either way you and I have a CHOICE. We can either CHOOSE to look that challenge directly in the face a run it down like a hungry Cheeta chasing a gazelle.

Or… you can be the gazelle.

Now. I Don’t know how you tend to look at challenges and problems in life, but the outlook on ANY OBSTICAL life, NEEDS to be VIEWED as a learning experience!

Think about it. Was learning to rid a bike hard?

How about the first time you drove a car?

Or the first time you made a public speech.

Maybe your first kiss? What emotions were you feeling then?

These are just some general examples of what life can smack you in the face with. However I do understand that some will be much more CHALLENGING and difficult than others.

SO…whats this got to do with you?

I want to help.

So, by the suggestion of a great friend of mine Ted Mcgrath, I’m challenging myself to publish, DAILY, a challenge that I face and overcome.

My goal is to be able to help you relate and gain inspiration from overcoming the challenges.

Welcome to my daily Challenge Session!

Today March 19th 2010,

At some point we all have to wake up in the morning. For most of us it’s earlier than we’d like. And for years through high school I never wanted to get out of bed.

Until….

I started working out and living a healthy lifestyle. BUT..

This morning was a CHALLENGE! After an intense coaching session last night, I was AMPED up and ready to rock! Talked to my great friend JOMO “Jordan Molotsky” on the phone afterwards and aired our Inspirational show a few hours later than normal around 11:30 pm. USUALLY im way in LA LA land by then!

My alarm buzzes at 4:50 am and my head hit the pillow around 12:15 am. Hmm yeah… not much sleep and I really REALLY REALLY dislike the sound of my alarm.

It buzzed and I turned it off.
The CHALLENGE was literally JUST GETTING MY BUTT out of bed! I was Truly tired and exhausted, most likely my body does need more sleep, but its Friday! And Jomo Happened to call my cell at 5:10 as I was still laying in bed, half in half out of consciousness.

The call spurred my mind into action and I FORCED myself out of bed. Blasted through a bicep and tricep workout at the gym and headed to my surfboard job north of town for a few hours.

Don’t think you are the only one tired and exhausted from the previous day. When your working your TAIL off and GRINDING on YOUR PASSION Sleep can be set to a minimum an YOU WILL PUSH Through any tired “emotions” you may have.

I mentioned above that I work out in the morning.

Whether you decide to hit up the gym, walk the dogs, go for a run, snowshoe, or waterski, I GUARANTEE you will be WAY more excited and energetic when you wake up in the morning.

Budget yourself 15 to 30 minutes of exercise every morning and it will SURELY increase your mood and overall enjoyment of your day.

Oh. yeah… and usually by exercising every day you’ll ensure yourself as a CHEETA rather than being a Gazelle on the run!

To Your Success.

-Kyle

In your quest to further better your business, your family time and your bottom dollar, today’s economy perceives this task most daunting. Whether you’re a local business owner, still hanging in corporate America, or venturing into the online market, social media, (much like the internet 15 years ago) is the only place let to hang!

Not only did the new year run in like a hungry Tiger looking at new hunting grounds, it also was accompanied by the “Net” generation. Young people who have grown up, minimally, with a cell phone in hand, and armed with internet on their desktop.

This fact along with hoards of undeniable statistics, all point towards once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for forward thinking, proactive business owners, and future entrepreneurs.

The radio industry took 38 years to gather a staggering 50 million listeners. Television made the same mark in 13 years. But low and behold the internet blew that record out of the water with 50 million users in 4 years. Then Facebook arrived and acquired a miniscule 100 MILLION users in 9 MONTHS. Facebook as a country would make it the fourth most populated place on earth.

Advertising is all about being where the people are at. Isn’t it obvious you should have a spot in the same field?

Here are some recent stats:

- %96 of 18 to 34 year olds belong to some type of social network

- %13 of marriages in the U.S. last year were the result of meeting “online.”

- %86 of purchases are influenced more by friends than advertising

Here’s another way to look at it. If you have 1,000 customers, half of them are most likely generation “Y.” Of that number, 96 percent belong to a social network, most likely Facebook or Twitter, coming in around 480 people.

The average Facebook member has 150 friends, and this is where it gets interesting, 480 customers on Face book X 150 friends = 72,000. Your business and personal reach is staggering. Even with a large amount of overlap as some share the same friends, the numbers should still send goose bumps through your arms.

Be aware, however, that social media etiquette is absolutely crucial to make your Social advertising work. Using offline marketing strategies will kill your opportunity on the social platforms. Learning why people are on Facebook and Twitter and communicating correctly through each medium is the paramount key to staying ahead of your competition.

Facebook is also working on a phenomenal advertising platform, a platform that has Google nerves twitching like a mouse who just found himself placed in a snake cage.

Bottom line is that people care about doing business and creating relationships with people the know, like and trust. That’s one key element when it comes to social media. Not to mention optimizing each platform to out rank and be easily out-searched pages ahead of your competitors!

Lets not forget about another amazing place to “hang out,” YouTube. With a massive 70 percent of 18-34 year olds viewing all T.V. through the web, YouTube is the second largest search engine on the planet. Second to google and in my opinion will soon be in third, google in second and Facebook taking first.

If you’re a small town Orthodontist, or maybe a larger one with a few offices around your region, how could YouTube possibly help business.?

You could start with a simple short un-edited 3 minute blurp of your staff, showing every part of their quirky and charismatic personalities while they enjoy their job!

Post it to Youtube, link it to a twitter and Facebook post and BAM you’ve got instant media coverage of your personable and funny caring staff.!

People will like it and pass it on to their friends, I call it Viral-Ality. What people like they will talk about and tell everyone they know. Same with what they don’t like.

In the instance that an unhappy customer complains about the service or product you may offer, you being the owner of the company or brand can immediately and publicly address the situation. In many cases your existing customers will arrive on the scene (social media) and take care of the complaint or questions before you even know it was there!

Client relations. Your existing clients and friends will promote you for you. Because they know, like and trust YOU.

The internet has give each and every one of us the uncanny ability to become successful at anything we dream. Corporate America is loosing its grip on through the ease of personal publication through Social Media. No longer will your article or add be dismissed because some other “front page” story was found.

You now have your own press, on your own channel, and on your own terms.

This year will bring Marketing power back to the individual and small business owner.

The Social Media Revolution will be the biggest shift in human experience since the Industrial Revolution.

Every day can be a challenge. But with those challenges, accompanied with a positive attitude strong character and moral, they will bring with them amazing values appreciation for doing the right thing.

I was faced with such a challenge on the morning of February 16th 2010. I’d been there before as a young child having watch my father do the exact same thing I was about to.

I am a nature lover and respect every aspect of its natural beauty that is given to you and I as a daily showcase.

However, through the love and appreciation, a line always needs to be drawn. Lines that can be viewed as gruesome, or even considered harsh and unnecessary.

I drove out of my driveway at approximately 6:22 am, headed for my usual 6:30 am workout, which I am typically late by 10 minutes for. About a half mile on my journey, I saw it, just lying off the side of the road, possibly paralyzed from the hips, slightly unconscious, its right leg had a sever compound break at the knee joint, and starring directly into my eyes as if crying out for help, a deer had been hit by a previously passing vehicle.

Living in Northern Michigan for most of my 25 years, I have seen hundreds of dead deer on the side of the road, I’ve also seen them get hit and run off as if nothing even happened. I’ve seen them actually run into vehicles, one actually almost killed my mother when she used to drive school bus.

She was stopped on the road waiting for the deer to cross, a car heading in the opposite direction didn’t see the animals. The deer jumped, but the car still hit it, propelling the animal straight through the bus windshield. It wasn’t a pretty site.

However, it’s a completely different feeling when a live wild animal looks you straight in your eyes and is completely helpless. Knowing it’s fate was obvious. Deciding to take control of its fate was my decision.

Most would have just kept driving, with the notion and belief that the poor thing will just freeze and die. With the hope and satisfaction that coyotes, foxes and all other scavenging animals need something to eat too,…..right?

Not in my belief. I have seen way to many deer left to rot away and never be found by mother natures clean up crew.

This animal was alive, and besides its fatal injury from the vehicle, was a very healthy and well animal.

I pulled over. Snow covered roads, on a corner, in my dress shoes and Florida Gators workout shorts, at a crispy 24 degrees. Crazy I know.

Now stopped I thought “great“, now what am I about to do? Still alive and when I stepped out of the truck it mustered up some energy and pulled itself closer to the woods with its front legs. Wow.

I didn’t think, I just did what I knew I had to do. I didn’t have a gun, only a knife.

As I gripped the back of the deer’s neck with my left hand I felt a sense of relief and “thankfulness,” like a the calm after a storm, or the serenity of a fresh snowfall on a Sunday morning. As if the deer was thankful that I had passed along knowing that I would take her out of her misery.

A few short minutes passed and the animal was at complete rest. I threw it in my truck and headed back to the house.

In many situations I believe it is unnecessary to play mother nature, illegal poaching, animal brutality, dog fighting, poisoning and all the crappy things some humans do to animals. But, I love venison, and couldn’t bare the thought of the deer rotting and not giving its energy to a better cause.

I think that some believe as humans, we are a step above mother nature. And shouldn’t “interfere” with what, or could have happened. My belief is that we are all equally a part of the food chain as sharks, lions, foxes and coyotes. Humans are just a heck-of-a lot smarter and more civilized.

I felt great with the fact that I saved, what very well likely would have been rotted and wasted food. Also, thoughts of, “who am I to be mother nature“ crossed my mind? But as I sated above, you and I are equally a part of this planet as the wolves and coyotes. I saw it first and had the guts, pride, and tenacity to put a helpless animal out of its misery and place food on the table at the same time.

Tough choices come at you and I on a daily basis. Decisions such as mine are typically not common of anyone to consider acting upon, but as a hunter and nature lover, it was necessary decision. To have driven past and do nothing, knowing the suffering, pain, and agony the deer would have gone through over the next few hours, days, or weeks at the longest, would’ve been much more difficult to live with.
